Michael Thompson has been an employee with MNSOARR for over a year. He has been on a wonderful transformation journey for the last 4 years. Michael was recruited by Mentor Corps leader Jim Hale for the Golden Opps mentoring for renewal program in 2008 after Graduating from The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center. He was aligned with Bob Younghans as his mentor. Bob is a business owner and trained Mentor Corps mentor. Because of the bold Christian discipleship mentoring model both Michael and Bob built a relationship that focused on helping guide Michael into new life skills and productive Bible based personal growth over the last couple years. In 2009 Michael and Bob were awarded the Mentor and Mentee of the year for Mentor Corps.

Recently Michael and Bob (see pictures) were asked to address the monthly meeting of the Twin Cities based R3 Collaboration of over 50 faith based ministries helping men and  women in life renewal, recovery and reentry.

Michael has shown new leadership growth within MNSOARR in a supervisory role on the job with key clients, and is prepared now to help mentor other men with the mentoring skills and tools he has learned.
